  • Aloha! My name is Kai Wilding, and I am a dedicated kayaker proudly representing Hawai‘i on Team USA. This year, I have the incredible honor of competing at Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia, from August 6-10, 2024, where I will race against some of the best athletes in the country.

Kayaking is more than just a sport to me—it’s a way of life. Growing up in the beautiful waters of Hawai‘i, I developed a deep respect for the ocean and a passion for paddling. My journey in kayaking has instilled in me discipline, resilience, and an unwavering drive to push my limits.

Competing at Nationals is a dream come true, but reaching the highest level of competition comes with significant expenses—travel, equipment, training, and accommodations. That’s why I’m reaching out for support. Your contribution will help me focus on what I do best: training, racing, and representing Hawai‘i and the USA at the highest level.

To support this journey, I have applied to be a firefighter and teacher in Hawai‘i, but until I am hired, covering the costs of this trip remains a challenge.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one stroke closer to the start line at Nationals and one step closer to my ultimate goal—competing on the Olympic stage. I am fully committed to giving my all, and with your support, I can show up at Nationals ready to race at my absolute best.

Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) for believing in me and supporting my journey. Your generosity means the world, and I am grateful for any help you can give.
